Fixing & fasteners supplier to modernise business with MAM cloud
Sky Blue Fixings to make the move over to cloud hosted solution to improve security and increase productivity
Based in Coventry, the company said the decision behind the switch from an on-premise system to a cloud hosted Software-as-a Service (SaaS) solution was to help improve the security of its data and increase staff productivity.
Hosted in a state-of-the-art data centre, Trader Online offers Sky Blue Fixings the same functionality as traditional on-premise software without the need for daily data backups or ongoing server maintenance.
"We moved our Trader solution to the cloud because it is a more secure way to store our data," Tony Gidda, Managing Director at Sky Blue Fixings explains.
"Looking ahead as a business, we need to keep up with the times. One of the main reasons why we're moving from on-premise to the cloud is that we don't have to worry about things such as backing up our data at the end of the day. It takes everything out of our hands so we know that everything is safe and we can concentrate on other things."
"We see a lot of value in the system, that's another reason why we're making the change to the cloud. It's totally changed our way of working, everything from the basic sales on the counter to what we're doing in the background, we've found that we literally don't have to touch a pen anymore. I wish we'd done it a long time ago."
"We're delighted that Sky Blue Fixings has chosen to join a number of our customers who use our cloud solutions," said Ben Whitehouse, Senior Sales Manager at MAM Software.
"Trader Online will bring a wide range of benefits by providing the functionality that Tony and his staff are familiar with, without the need to carry out time consuming data backups or maintain expensive on-premise servers."
