Supplier increases market presence with MAM

Sealey benefits from speed improvements, improves data accuracy and saves money with switch to Autocat+ and Automate Online

Sealey Ltd. says it has improved its market visibility with MAM Software and Automate Online, MAM’s data-management tool that enables component suppliers to improve the quality and latency of data they supply to Autocat+, MAM’s industry-standard parts catalogue which Sealey has also employed.

Based in Suffolk, with over 34 years experience in the industry, Sealey are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of workshop tools and equipment. It sells a wide range of products that are primarily for use in an automotive environment, with a large proportion of the companies’ catalogue covering other markets and applications.

Sealey says it was impressed with the solutions that MAM Software had to offer prior to employing the two products. After careful research, the company decided to make the move to MAM in the hope of enhancing its visibility in the automotive aftermarket.

“A lot of motor factors and parts suppliers have employed MAM’s software, and we saw the benefit of using this system to increase our market place presence,” explained Neil Kidby, Service Tool Specialist at Sealey. “We discovered  MAM and felt the solutions they offer would be a big benefit to us. So we decided to use the system to enhance the great service we already offer, and we’re having a great experience so far.”

By employing Autocat+ and Automate Online, the company has noticed vast speed improvements, illustrated by how promptly it is able to upload and promote new products online, with the process now happening overnight. Sealey also praised the functionality, user friendliness and simplicity of the solutions.

Furthermore, Sealey says it feels its data is safer than it has ever been. As Neil Kidby explained: “We needed to know we were secure. We didn’t want to risk handing years worth of work to someone on a plate, but we gained confidence from MAM that our data would be safe.”

Sealey has also been able to eliminate printing costs by being able to promote products online. “It’s an important feature for us, we’ve obviously saved money on printing, and that can only be a good thing,” continued Neil.

As we’re new to the systems, we’ve asked a lot of simple questions that may have obvious answers, but MAM are always fast to respond, and everything we’ve ever asked, we’ve got a sensible reply to. We’re finding Automate Online and Autocat+ simple to use; the software is easy to pick up on and very user friendly, and we look forward to discovering more features in the future.”
