SUPLEX UK Ltd increases sales with Autocat+
MAM’s Automate and MMI helps supplier to make new product lines visible to customers
MAM Software is pleased to report that SUPLEX UK Ltd. has now been uploading product data to MAM’s Autocat+ - the UK’s most comprehensive vehicle parts catalogue application - for over a year. SUPLEX has been impressed with the level of detail that can be added to product data, as well as being able to make new product lines visible to Autocat+ users. The company has also made use of Automate and the MAM Make Model Index (MMI) to ensure customers have access to accurate data.
SUPLEX UK Ltd, a subsidiary or SUPLEX GmbH, established its UK branch in Sheffield in 2009. The company supplies the UK and Irish independent aftermarkets with coil-springs and pre-assembled strut kits for passenger car and light commercial vehicles. SUPLEX also supports UK-based specialised vehicle manufacturers, supplying coil-springs and suspension systems for Original Equipment build.
“With Autocat+, there is absolutely no dilution of data and no data loss, as we don’t have to make our data fit a restricted ‘corset,’” said Stephan Fortner, Product Manager at SUPLEX. He added: “The high level of detail - which is an inherent part of the SUPLEX range - can, through bespoke data presentation coupled with the extensive MMI vehicle index, be retained.”
Automate Online, which includes the MAM MMI, is a catalogue data management tool which enables component suppliers to enhance product data and publish it to the MAM Autocat+ parts catalogue. It allows users to update and amend their own product data which is published to Autocat+ on a frequent basis. Mapping data to UK-specific vehicles can help suppliers assure their customers that they are ordering the right parts.
Stephan continued: “SUPLEX releases new part numbers every week and Automate allows us to add data to Autocat+ almost instantly, a huge advantage over the more traditional paper catalogue or product news bulletin. We were pleasantly surprised to see how easy it is to include new lines for which there is not always a generic part number code but which is of interest to the workshop. And by that we mean not just load the data onto the system but make sure it is visible to the user.
“We’re delighted that SUPLEX has reported tangible benefits from uploading product data to Autocat+,” said MAM Software’s Tony Mason. He added: “Autocat+ has been designed with an intuitive user interface to ensure suppliers can gain the widest reach possible with their product data. We always strive to offer all of our customers the highest level of support in order for them to derive the maximum benefit from our products.”
