Fisher Motor Factors streamlines processes and improves customer service following upgrade to latest MAM business management solution

Fisher Motor Factors, a specialist supplier of refinish products for the automotive aftermarket, has praised the positive impact that Autopart v30, the latest version of MAM's business management solution, has had on its operations.

Founded in 1990, Fisher Motor Factors is a supplier of a wide variety of products including vehicle paints, workshop consumables, tools and equipment. The company employs 27 staff members to service the whole of Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.

Fisher Motor Factors first started using Autopart 18 years ago in 2000, taking advantage of the software's intuitive functionality to efficiently control operations, including stock management, customer invoicing and its product database.

The upgrade to Autopart v30 gives Fisher Motor Factors the tools to efficiently and accurately keep up with its high customer demand, whilst improving customer service standards.

"Autopart v30 has already made our business more efficient," explains Craig Fisher, Operations Manager at Fisher Motor Factors.

"We have experienced ways in which the software can be tailored to our own specific requirements, saving on labour time and making processes quicker and easier, which has enhanced the service we offer to our customers."

"One of the features we use most is the bin card. We supply a large amount of popular products that do the same thing, and it makes it easy for us to ensure we are sending the customer the correct product they need."

"The special terms feature is also very beneficial to us, as it stops invoicing errors and makes sure the customer is invoiced at the terms agreed."

"We have a busy sales office that takes numerous calls one after the other. Functionality in Autopart v30 like the 'New Sale' feature now gives us the ability to put the orders straight onto the system quickly without finalising. This means we can go back into ‘open orders’ to double check all the information and prices are correct before completing the order."

"Other features that attracted us to upgrading to Autopart v30 were the possibilities of using the software's additional modules such as SMS text messaging and the SalesRep and StockTake tablet apps."

SalesRep is a tablet app which enhances the way sales representatives conduct business while on-the-go, and StockTake is a mobile and tablet app which allows users to access and submit digital stocksheets to reduce manual data entry. SMS text messaging is an optional module that will allow Fisher Motor Factors to directly engage with its customers and prospects through their mobile phones.
