Retailer drives business forward with move to the cloud
G & B Accessories looks to save time and money with Autopart Online
G & B Accessories says that it expects to see a number of improvements to its business after upgrading from Autopart to Autopart Online, MAM Software’s cloud based business management solution that enables companies to intelligently manage their core business processes.
With nearly 50 years’ experience, G & B Accessories is an A1 Motor Stores member. Based in Chester, it is one of the leading retail and trade outlets in the Northwich area, with a second branch in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. It provides a large range of vehicle parts, accessories, additives, cleaning materials, tools and lubricants.
After utilising Autopart for nearly ten years, a solution it describes as a “great all round system”, praising its stock control functionality and multi-branch connectivity specifically, the company says it has made the decision to upgrade to Autopart Online to “move with the times.”
In particular, G & B expects to take advantage of the time and money saved from no longer having to power and maintain its own servers. These will now be hosted at a state-of-the-art data centre, with fire and flood resistant measures in place. Also, with day-end backups, the business can be assured that its data is extremely safe. Furthermore, the company says that it hopes to benefit from the speed improvements the cloud solution will bring.
“We’re looking forward to seeing how a move to the cloud will improve our business,” said Bren Shaw at G & B. “One of the main reasons for our upgrade was the fact we’ll no longer have to maintain our own servers, and we’ll also benefit from improved data security and speed improvements from the new system. MAM have been very helpful, answered all of our questions, and we can’t wait to get started with the new solution.”
“We’re delighted that G & B have taken the decision to upgrade to Autopart Online, and we’re confident that they’ll benefit from a wide range of features a move to the cloud brings,” said Ben Whitehouse, Senior Sales Manager at MAM Software. “The company can look forward to an array of improvements, and we’re sure they’ll get everything they need out of the new system.”
