New and improved MEYLE parts data now available in MAM catalogue
German parts supplier updates product information used in MAM's popular Autocat all-makes catalogue
The company is now using MAM's recently announced conversion service to translate data from its existing TecDoc format into MAM's UK-specific Autocat v8 format. This ensures the data is correctly mapped to MAM's UK make model index (MMI) and enables catalogue users to accurately identify components using UK vehicle registration numbers.
Used by over 11,000 counter staff at motor factors and retailers across the country, Autocat is the UK's premier all-makes parts catalogue. By converting its existing TecDoc data, MEYLE can easily provide users with access to over 24,000 aftermarket replacement parts from its MEYLE-HD, MEYLE-PD and MEYLE-ORIGINAL product lines.
"We recognise the importance of providing our customers with accurate, up-to-date product information," said Andrew Tress, sales director at MEYLE UK. "MAM's TecDoc data conversion makes it easy for us to put our products in front of thousands of buyers throughout the UK aftermarket without us having to maintain separate catalogue databases."
"We are pleased to add MEYLE to the growing number of European parts manufacturers that are benefiting from our catalogue data conversion service," said Tony Mason, MAM's sales manager for data and e-commerce products. "Until recently, some component suppliers have had to maintain two sets of data for the same product range. Our conversion process allows suppliers to publish their existing data to Autocat with minimal hassle, while our quality control checks ensure that users receive accurate product information."
