Quickco deploys Origin WebRetail as the foundation of its e-commerce expansion project

Quickco, a multi-franchise part distributor and A1 Motor Stores member, has been utilising MAM and Origin WebRetail software to expand its operations into business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce and build its brand image.

Since opening its doors in 1965, Quickco has been distributing automotive aftermarket, and OE parts and accessories throughout the UK and now has 12 branches nationwide. Before utilising WebRetail, Quickco had been a long term user of MAM's Autocat v8 automotive parts catalogue.

Quickco’s e-commerce site is a bespoke solution based on a range of modules provided by Origin, an MAM-owned e-commerce solution provider for the automotive aftermarket. It also includes bespoke features which integrate with Quickco’s back-end software to create a cross reference with Autocat v8 to simplify product listings.

“When we first scoped out our e-commerce project there were not that many developers out there that we felt could deliver a site that could encompass the automotive aftermarket and a genuine product cross reference. Origin were the best option we saw that could integrate with the Autocat catalogue,” as Alwyn Payne, E-commerce Leader at Quickco explains.

“We’re very happy with the solution, and satisfied that it has fulfilled its requirements 100%. There is really nothing else on the market that would allow us to lift our catalogue and have it cross reference with aftermarket and OE products.”

“It is easier for our customers to find the parts they need and the product cross-reference feature gives them the freedom to choose from good, better, best in terms of product quality.”

“For a company that has never expanded into online sales before, we would definitely recommend Origin WebRetail to anyone looking to go down the e-commerce route.”

“We’re extremely pleased to hear that Quickco are happy with their e-commerce solution which they chose to advance their business in this sector.” Said Giles Greenslade, Managing Director at Origin Software Solutions.
“More and more companies are realising how effective a tool e-commerce can be in the automotive aftermarket and OE market. The range of packages and bespoke services that Origin WebRetail offers are opening up new avenues of profit. ”

Quickco selected a bespoke solution that was tailored to its specific business needs. Origin WebRetail is also available in a range of out-of-the-box e-commerce subscription packages which integrate directly with MAM’s business management software.
