Motor factor reports successful year using cloud software
Swords Motor Factors offers outstanding praise after reflecting on using Autopart Online for 12 months
Swords Motor Factors, a multi branch car and commercial factor, said that over the last year it has "massively" improved its business processes since making the switch from Autopart v20 to Autopart Online, MAM Software's intelligent cloud-hosted business management solution.
From its branches in Swords and Lusk, Swords Motor Factors has been supplying quality car parts, tools and accessories for most makes and models of cars, vans and 4x4's to both trade and retail customers since 1982.
In January 2016, the company migrated its business over to Autopart Online and hasn't looked back. Swords has reported that it has made savings on hardware maintenance since the upgrade to Autopart Online. It also stated that using functions within Autopart such as sales ledgers has made the day-to-day running of the business more efficient.
MAM cloud hosted solutions offer a more flexible means to access business management software for auto parts distributors and retailers. Delivered from a state-of-the-art data centre, this Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach gives the same functionality as MAM's traditional software.
MAM updates the software when necessary, maintains the server hardware and ensures that the data is securely stored and backed-up; leaving users more free time to focus on other business tasks.
"Since moving to Autopart Online last year, things have improved massively for us," Gavan Bermingham, Operations Manager at Swords Motor Factors explains.
"We were constantly running into problems with our old server and we had two options; we could either go to the cloud, or buy new hardware which had colossal costs for our needs. RNH Solutions, MAM's distributor in Ireland, recommended that we move to the cloud as they said it was the future of the business."
"Overall, Autopart Online has really made everything in our business a lot quicker and more efficient. The whole package streamlines our business processes, especially with our sales ledgers and invoicing. Our accounts manager in particular is extremely happy with Autopart and says that it helps him out on a day-to-day basis."
"Going to the cloud has saved us about 20-30%, maybe more, of what it would have cost to buy a new server. Also, small things like not having to worry about maintenance or backing up our data at the end of the day has given us great peace of mind so we can focus on other business tasks."
"We're delighted that Swords are using Autopart Online's functionality and the benefits of the cloud to maximise business efficiency," said Mick Forrest, Managing Director at RNH Solutions.
"We see accessing software through the cloud as the way forward for business. Lower up-front costs and automated data back-ups are just some of the key benefits that hosted solutions have to offer."
