MAM cloud users double in 2015
Over 2500 users now run MAM’s cloud-hosted business management solutions
MAM Software is pleased to announce that the number of users running its cloud-hosted business management solutions has more than doubled since the end of 2014.
256 businesses from the UK automotive aftermarket and builders merchant industries now utilise one of MAM's cloud business management applications. The company reports that 89% of its new customers this year opted for cloud delivery, demonstrating the continuing trend towards the online platform.
MAM cloud-hosted solutions are available for a range of businesses including auto parts distributors and retailers, and building supplies merchants. They provide all the functionality of on-premise applications, but are accessed from off-site servers. The service is hosted on a scalable, fully-managed infrastructure, and accessed on a monthly subscription basis.
Derby Auto Electrical is one of the latest businesses to switch to MAM's cloud-hosted software. The GROUPAUTO member says that it has been impressed by the many features of the cloud service.
As Managing Director Tony Ross explained: “The cloud stood out to us straightaway. It’s a great platform that I imagine other businesses will adopt in the future.
“We no longer have to worry about data backups which we used to carry out twice a day, and similarly we have no fears about our system crashing. We also don’t have to worry about maintaining our servers. Cloud technology is definitely the way forward.”
The sentiments are shared by Kax Rajani, Managing Director of Laker Building and Fencing Supplies. The builder’s merchant has utilised the cloud platform for over a year, and praised its role in enabling the company to expand.
Kax explained: “Cloud computing is a fantastic concept, and one we urge other businesses to adopt. It’s cost effective, an excellent solution to accommodate business growth and has saved us a large amount of time on IT maintenance. It’s helped modernise our business and is definitely the way forward.”
“The cloud clearly continues to be a popular choice for both our current and new customers, and we’re delighted to announce we’ve reached another milestone,” said Mike Jamieson, CEO at MAM Software.
“Feedback from our cloud user-base is extremely positive, and these views coupled with the latest figures add credence to our belief that the cloud is becoming the preferred delivery platform. Customers are citing a number of reasons for choosing the cloud option, including its lower capital investment, simplified IT maintenance, security and scalability.
