MAM announces Spring update to its garage management application
Forthcoming Autowork Online update will provide suggested jobs, emailing of images and automated text messaging
A new 'Suggested Jobs' feature will make it quicker and easier to build estimates and jobs by recommending work based on symptoms or results from MAM's CarSide electronic vehicle health-check (eVHC) app.
Vehicle inspection images and notes captured in the CarSide app can now be emailed to the customer via the main Autowork Online application.
Autowork Online's 'Custom Jobs' feature is being enhanced to cater for fixed-price jobs such as promotions or fleet work. The new 'Complete Price' job type will not be affected by the price of its individual components. A further change to the existing job groups system will mean that jobs can be categorised using the same descriptions as those available in the custom jobs screen.
A new Automated SMS feature will help garages encourage repeat business and reduce time lost due to "no shows". It will enable user-defined text messages to be sent automatically for appointments, reminders and deferred work. Up to three messages can be scheduled for each event, which will be automatically delivered at prescribed intervals.
The release also includes several enhancements to existing functionality. The performance of the work in progress (WIP) screen is being improved, and its tiles will display the assigned technician. Labour rates set against fleet master accounts will be automatically shared to their sub-accounts, and it will be possible to produce a non-priced 'Schedule of Work' for fleet or insurance work.
"Innovations such as suggested jobs are central to our core principle of helping garages work more efficiently," said MAM Software's Gavin Sparks.
"With this latest release, we are again introducing new functionality that adds value and directly benefits its users, while at the same time improving the performance and usability of the software."
The Autowork Online Spring release will be rolled out to customers on a staggered basis, starting at the end of April. Users will automatically receive the update as soon as it becomes available for their system.
