IFA rewards catalogue data efforts
Jim Munday receives IFA Special Commendation award for encouraging suppliers to adopt Autocat v8 data standards
MAM Software is pleased to report that Jim Munday, Managing Director at Waterloo Motor Trade Ltd, has won an award for his work to map supplier data in Autocat v8, MAM’s next-generation parts catalogue for the automotive aftermarket.
Jim received the Special Commendation at the 2016 IFA awards, which were held at the Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond, Scotland, as a result of his efforts to assist automotive aftermarket suppliers ensure that their product data is Autocat v8 compliant.
The IFA is one of the largest motor factor buying groups in the UK and is owned and run by its members, many of which use Autocat v8 on a daily basis. The catalogue is an invaluable tool for counter staff, providing them with instant access to up-to-date component specifications and helping them identify the correct parts for their customers.
Jim Munday’s work is part of MAM Software’s continued commitment to improve the quality of the data within the catalogue, which includes regular collaboration with the IFA and other trade groups including Alliance Automotive Group and Rapid.
“I am very thankful to be presented with this award. When it comes to product data it is beneficial to both aftermarket suppliers and customers that we are all on the same page so that we can all work together as efficiently as possible.” Jim explained.
“We are delighted that Jim has won this award and we would like to congratulate him for all his hard work. He has been influential in working with MAM and suppliers in the automotive aftermarket to improve the quality of catalogue data.” Said Nigel Clemett, Commercial Director at MAM Software.
