Brakeworld switches to cloud computing
Wholesale brake supplier simplifies IT maintenance by moving to Autopart Online
MAM Software is pleased to announce that Brakeworld has made the move to MAM Autopart Online, the cloud-based version of its popular business management software. The remotely hosted solution will allow Brakeworld to become more customer focused by reducing IT overheads and eliminating server maintenance.
Brakeworld is a Leeds-based wholesale brake supplier, providing high quality friction and filter technology to independent motor factors. Established for over 25 years, the company is a long-standing user of MAM's business management software.
"Our policy of continuous investment in new technology helps us keep our service at the high level our customers rightly expect," said Nigel Harvey, Managing Director at Brakeworld. He continues: "For this reason we have operated a computerised trading system since 1988 and have been an MAM Software customer for the last eighteen years. We currently operate Autopart v20 and provide online trading via MAM's Autonet e-commerce solutions."
Autopart Online offers the same comprehensive functionality as MAM's traditional on-premise software, but without the costly purchase and upkeep of server hardware.
"Moving to Autopart Online seemed the logical next step, as it eliminates the need to maintain a server infrastructure here in our Leeds office" Nigel Harvey continued. "It also provides the peace of mind knowing that all server maintenance, software updates and data backups are being expertly handled on our behalf by MAM Software – allowing us to spend more time on customer focused activities."
"The server migration was professionally planned and executed by MAM Software and, as a result, we experienced almost no disruption to our trading facilities."
"We’re pleased to continue building on our 18 year relationship with Brakeworld," said Nigel Clemett, Sales Director at MAM Software. "Brakeworld, like many other businesses, are seeing the advantages that our cloud solutions have to offer. Rather than incurring upfront infrastructure costs, our hosted solutions allow companies to rent our business management systems on a flexible per-user basis."
