Replacement parts retailer says it "will never go back" since moving to Origin WebRetail

Bull Motif Spares Ltd, a specialist in quality Morris Minor, Austin and Mini replacement parts, has experienced a rise in sales thanks to a bespoke Origin WebRetail website.

Stuart Nimmo, general manager at Bull Motif Spares, explained that the company's previous website was around 10 to 15 years' old and no longer met its needs. However, by investing in an Origin WebRetail platform, the business now has a fully-featured webshop at where it can sell Morris Minor spares direct to customers.

Bull Motif Spares has been using MAM's Autopart software to manage its business operations for more than 20 years and looked to the provider when it decided to invest in a bespoke website. "We were already familiar with MAM, so when they partnered with Origin, it made sense to see what they had to offer," said Stuart.

He explained how the launch of the new Morris Minor parts website has already revolutionised the way the company does business with its customers. Sales increased by 7% almost overnight and feedback from customers has been positive.

"We used to take a lot of phone and postal orders, but because of our opening hours, we could only process them between 9am and 5pm. Now we can run a 24/7 operation," Stuart noted. Integration with Autopart also helps the company simplify its administration, as pricing is handled centrally and orders are received directly into point of sale.

"Years of industry experience shows that online ordering is the way forward," Stuart explained. Bull Motif Spares' decision to improve its e-commerce offering has already led one of its biggest competitors to follow suit, but the company is staying one step ahead and has already launched a second site for their range of Austin parts. It will also be launching another website selling Mini spares in the coming weeks.

"Now our first websites are up and running, we will never go back," Stuart concluded.

"Customers have increasingly come to expect retailers to offer the option of online sales, which is why a bespoke website such as the one we developed for Bull Motif Spares can really help businesses keep ahead of the competition," said Giles Greenslade, managing director at Origin Software Solutions.

"The figures speak for themselves; a 7% increase in online sales in such a short space of time positions the company for future success. Origin WebRetail's direct integration into Autopart makes it a valuable tool for any business."
