MAM and TecAlliance sign catalogue data agreement
Data collaboration will simplify the conversion of TecDoc data to MAM Software’s Autocat v8 format
Leading parts data providers MAM Software and TecAlliance have signed a long term agreement that will make it easier for component suppliers to convert data from TecAlliance's TecDoc catalogue to MAM’s Autocat v8 parts catalogue.
As a result of the agreement, MAM is now offering parts suppliers a comprehensive TecDoc data conversion service. When subscribed to the programme, TecAlliance will send suppliers' official data files to MAM for processing on a monthly or quarterly basis. On receipt of the data, MAM will convert it to the Autocat v8 format, perform quality control checks, and then publish it to the catalogue.
"Up until now, some component suppliers have had to maintain two sets of data for the same product," said Nigel Clemett, general manager at MAM Software.
"Now converting existing TecDoc data for use in our Autocat v8 catalogue will be simpler and more efficient. We have already performed conversions for a number of high profile suppliers, and the results are extremely positive."
"This has been a challenging project undertaken at the request of a number of TecAlliance suppliers that need to make their standardised data available to MAM for the UK market. The new conversion process provides them with an efficient and effective resolution to the issue," said Shaun Greasley, commercial director of TecAlliance UK & Ireland.
MAM's new data conversion service is available as a monthly or quarterly subscription programme, and requires licences for TecDoc processing and MAM's make model index (MMI). For further details and pricing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
